Students and Benefits
Skill and the Disability Alliance successfully completed a collaborative project, funded by the Lloyds TSB Foundation for England and Wales, in December 2006. The Disability Alliance is regarded as the leading authority on benefits and tax credits for disabled people in the UK, and complements our knowledge of student finance issues.
Both organisations continue to provide information on:
- benefits rights
- how benefits and education funding affect each other
- what support is available to improve access to education
through web-based information, including Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ), and training courses for advisers working with disabled students or prospective students in higher education.
